Originally titled The Excavation Series, this series of ceramic and steel figures explores ideas of repeating human patterns and juxtapositions.
"The forms are created, changed by fire in the earth, then reassembled in a puzzle-like fashion. While the specific environment in which the figures are created and fired causes changes in the appearance of the forms, the underlying figures remain the same." - Artist Statement, August 2nd, 1998
